Just want to share (to those unaware): USB 4 cable is the cheaper alternative to Thunderbolt 4 cables

A lot of the cost of a proper tb4 cable is the certification so that does check out.

Yeah, that certification is pricey.

Would you know if USB 4 cable is functionally identical to that of TB4 cable? Like, I’m not missing out on any specific TB4 use case, right?

It is the exact same (just without certification).

If it works it works, with the tb certification you get a “Guarantee” that it’ll work with other certified stuff.
