I’m having a problem with LMDE 6 “Faye” Cinnamon upon Boot. It freezes up after the login screen for about 3 minutes. Any help is appreciated.

The missing firmware might definitely be an issue; IDK how it is for Mint but they’re pointing you to this resolution for how to get the firmware if you were on Debian, which might be a starting point:

There are also GPU crashes in the AMD driver that’s in the standard kernel. IDK if it’s related to your issue or not, but if you’re comfortable compiling your own kernel I had good results fixing system freezes by replacing the kernel with this:

Those were more intermittent than what you’re describing though. You might start with trying to track down how to get it to load new firmware and see what that does.
