Hi everyone,

my setup is as follows. I have two external displays Dell U2722DE and Dell U2722D.

I connect my laptop via the upper, left USB-c port to the DE display. This display has an integrated USB hub, in which I connect the Logitech unified receiver.

Using this setup I have periodic (approx. every 1-2 minutes) input lags/freezes of mouse and keyboard of approx. 5 seconds.

When connecting the receiver directly into the USB-a port of the laptop I don’t experience any input lags, also when connecting different other laptops to the USB-c display with the receiver connected to the USB hub I don’t see any issues.

there are no messages in the journal when the freeze occurs.

How can I track down this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Update: I now also have the periodic input lags/freezes, when the Logitech receiver is directly plugged into the USB a port of my framework laptop.

Update2: After I installed Solaar the problems seemed to have disappeared.

Could be happening due to USB autosuspend. Maybe running Solaar in the background does something that results in the USB port not doing any auto suspending.

Look into disabling USB auto suspend for devices via udev rules.
