Mainboard upgrade to fix date and time reoccurring issue

Following the title I have an “old” 11th gen framework from around mid 2022. still running on windows 10, its the 11th Gen Intel version and in essence I was wondering if the issue with the whole date and time not updating after it being unplugged and closed for periods of time, could be fixed by upgrading the mainboard or by some other means so it isnt a reoccurring issue where I have to wait like 10 odd minutes for it to get a trickle charge enough for it to turn on and then have to wait an extra 30+ minutes for it to get its date and time synced + all the updates it usually has. I guess what im asking is basically would replacing the mainboard fix said issue because id like to have a turn on and use laptop again without the extra hassle that this one currently causes despite how little I use it. Id still love for it to just work even if I have to plug it in at the very least id like the date and time issue somehow resolved

it looks like issue with RTC battery Viability of an ML 1220 rechargable battery for RTC | CMOS (11th gen) - #43 by nrp maybe replacing it will help

If you ask FW support, I believe they replace the RTC battery for free, even after warranty ends.
That being said, a ML 1220 is not expensive.
Don’t confuse that with a CR 1220. Do not get a CR 1220.

That is the classic CMOS battery failing on this generation of boards. Framework is nice enough to send out replacement batteries like others said. If there is a repair shop near, asking for the updated kit that has to be soldered in would help eliminate this issue as the battery is charged from the battery internally instead of the external charger.
