So, I have seen the new Framework wireless keyboard and touchpad. It seems like a neat product, but i have a question: why not have it be compatible with input modules from the Framework 16? I think this is an awesome idea because if you spill water on your keyboard or touchpad you can easily replace it within seconds, and also just more customisability.

The Framework 16 input modules use QMK firmware on rp2040 keyboard controller chips, which can’t easily be separated. Neither is designed for the extreme power conservation needed in a wireless keyboard with a small, lightweight battery.
Instead, the wireless keyboard uses ZMK on a nRF54 chip, both of which were designed from the ground up for these types of keyboards. The benefit of QMK on the Framework 16 is that it currently offers more configuration options for power users. And it was even further ahead on that when the Framework 16 was released.
Welcome to the forum by the way.
