No display output from USB C port on dGPU

I have a Framework 16 with the GPU expansion card. I have a known good DisplayPort USB C cable that works in the USB C modules.

For some reason, I can’t seem to get any output from the port at the back of the dGPU regardless of what I try. I must be missing something.

Is there a setting that I need to change in order for the dGPU to automatically work when something is plugged in? I know the cable works and I know the display I’m plugging into works. Is it just a faulty port?

I know the dGPU works because I can play games just fine with it.

If you power it off, plug in the usb-c, and power it on, is there video output?

Negative, no output when plugged in and restarted.

Are you sure your games are using the dGPU not the APU?
The APU works surprisingly well for a lot of titles so thought I would ask.
The only time I haven’t got any output on that USB-C port on the dGPU was when I was having driver issues and it was disabling itself in Device Manager.
Right click your Windows Start icon, open Device Manager, and check under Display adaptors that both are enabled.
If they are/you know from performance or AMD Software that your games are using the dGPU then I’m afraid I don’t know what the issue might be.

Yeah, I’m sure the dGPU is being used. I can select which GPU to use in the game I was playing.

Both GPUs show up in device manager.

Thank you,
Claire
