"P" Key Cover Clip Broke - What Needs Replacing?

Hello all,

The cover for the P key of my FW13 has detached. Just looking at it (see pictures - can retake if needed), one of the connector clips has broken off. Because I’m not familiar with input cover anatomy, I’d appreciate advice on what to do from here. Do I need to do anything special to remove the broken off clip? Is it enough to replace the keyboard, or does the entire input cover need to be replaced? I suspect that replacing the keyboard is enough but want a second opinion.

Just replacing the keyboard would be enough, but I’d suggest getting a whole input cover instead anyway.

Due to how the input cover frame goes in between keys, there are a lot of tiny screws to secure it. I’m talking, 71 PH0 screws. And due to being tiny with low profile heads, they can be easy to strip if one isn’t careful or doesn’t know how such screws can be. For some, it’s just a tedious minor annoyance. For others, it could be destroyed screws & an unusable input cover. This design appears to have been to keep the laptop thin & light, while still stiff enough.

Oh, welcome to the forum by the way.
