Question about a quirk with the built-in audio device

On Debian Trixie (Testing, kernel 6.7.9), in alsamixer, the speaker controls are reversed - ‘Speaker’ controls the bass volume and ‘Bass Speaker’ controls treble volume. Is there a way to correct this? I want to control these independently but haven’t found a way to under PulseAudio/PipeWire yet and I’m thinking solving the reversed controls issue might be a step towards solving that. At the moment, I work around it using PulseAudio by unloading the module-alsa-card associated with the built-in audio and loading separate module-alsa-sink/module-alsa-source, controlling the bass volume via alsamixer, but this has a higher CPU cost (roughly doubles PA’s CPU load). This is also the issue preventing me from switching to PipeWire as I’m not familiar with it enough to do similar there. Apparently unloading a PipeWire native module isn’t implemented still…
