[RESOLVED] Fan is constantly running at high speed from boot to power off

Thanks @nadb and others for your help! I repasted and nothing changed, I ordered a new fan.

Hi @Kevin_Kinney. Did replacing the fan module fix the problem for you? I started having this exact same issue with my laptop about two weeks ago. Here’s what I’m using:

Laptop: Framework 13 DIY Edition
Mainboard: 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7
Firmware: 3.17
OS: Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
Kernel: 6.2.0-35-generic #35~22.04.1-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Fri Oct 6 10:23:26 UTC 2

I already ordered myself a new fan. For anyone else having this problem in the future, after I replace my fan, I’ll be sure to post about whether it fixed the problem for me.

@Eric_Dramstad yep! I replaced the fan and it is still working perfect!

@Kevin_Kinney I’m happy to report that replacing the fan module seems to have fixed the problem for me too!
