Normal using it fine or doing more than 21 cycles of the stress-test fine?
Cause mine does the first but not the second.

Try this patch:
https://lore.kernel.org/amd-gfx/20240328041720.276684-1-tim.huang@amd.com/
That’s not planned for stable but if it does help for you we can make a case to bring it to stable.
hibernation doesn’t work at all for me using 6.8.5, but works normally in 6.6.26 .
Thank you. I’m not compiling my own kernel, so will have to rely on other people testing the patch
On 6.8.4 it mostly works, unless you run the stresstest then it freezes after 10-20 cycles. Never happened in actual use but quite reproducable

Yusss! 50 cycles!
Cool! I just sent a request out for it to be brought to stable from your testing.

Thank you! Kernel 6.8.6 does not seem to include it, as expected.
What did you do?
Applied the patch and compiled a Kernel.
Seems to be fixed in 6.9.0-rc4 (got bored after 35 cycles)
Yeah I’m not doing that XD
That sounds like very good news
It’s part of 6.8.7 now.
Thank you Mario.
Confirmed 400 cycles on 6.8.7.
40 cycles so far, that’s double my previous record.
Edit: Just had a reset after about 130 cycles, gonna give it another run.
Edit2: Well damn the reset is reproducible, at least it went from freeze or reset to just reset.
not here. 6.8.7 still won’t hibernate, while 6.6.28 does.
Not saying it’s relevant but I have changed the Wifi controller to an Intel one.
So have I, also tried setting the igpu back to game optimized but that doesn’t seem to have completely fixed it.
Not hibernating at all is probably a separate issue
