Another popular option is to dual-boot Windows and Linux. That way you can start learning a new operating system without a risk of not having a working computer in case if something goes wrong. You can try Fedora as many recommended or Mint if you want an easy transition. Tons of resources online on how to set up dual-boot as well as many resources on Fedora, Mint, or any other popular Linux distributions. I would also suggest a free course to help you understand and maybe even eventually get into more advanced functions Linux offers. Take a look at the Linux Foundationā€™s Introduction to Linux course. I think you might even find a new hobby.

Iā€™m keeping my Windows on an expansion card and boot it by just connecting it and choosing it in the boot sequence.
