Ryzen 5 for FW16?

Any chance on the Ryzen AI 5 340 chip coming to the Framework Laptop 16? I use my laptop exclusively for sysadmin work and would much rather have a budget-friendly/energy efficient option when it comes time to upgrade my motherboard.

The 340 is a straight up downgrade compared to anything previously sold on the framework 16 (hell even the 35 is more of a side-grade cpu wise and a straight up downgrade igpu wise but that is probably less of an issue is you got a dgpu).

As of now it also doesn’t look like the ai300 chips are particularly more efficient than their 7x40 counterparts, though some of that may improve with firmware/software.

In my opinion if you don’t need the npu or are using it primarily for one of the applications that really like zen5 the only worthwile sku of the ai 300s is the 370 and that is expensive af.
