Ryzen AI 495+ 192GB Desktop?

As in the title, is there any word on whether or when we might get a 495+ 192GB update on the Framework Desktop? I’m getting a lot of use out of the 395+ machines, would really like to get one with the extra RAM, even though I know the price will be painful.

AMD’s spark or whatever they’re calling it doesn’t look likely to be nearly as robust as what Framework has been doing. The Medusa halo could be a game-changer, but I can’t wait that long…

@NiravPatel, I know there’s a lot of factors involved, but is there anything you can tell us?

128GB = 8 × 16GB
192GB = 8 × 24GB

Yeah, that’s a typo, I meant 192, not 196. Thanks!

I’m not sure if a demo computer is even out for the 495+ yet. Usually it looks like there is a paper launch->a single demo product a few months later->6 months of almost no news->other manufacturers suddenly start making it rain devices that use the new processor SKU’s.

The 395+, 392+ and 388+ all seemed to debut on an asus demo laptop so I’d wager we would want to look at when they gain access then listen for everyone else to make their computer announcements later in the year.

Honestly given how many pre-orders frameworks locked in price guarantees on I wouldn’t be surprised if now would be a hard time for expanding their sku’s. Yes they have a metric ton of business, but they are also being squeezed by rising prices while they put out batch after batch of pre-orders. Its a hard mix of big hope and big concern. There is a lot of LPCAMM they need to procure for the 13 pro, and they still need to work out driver compatibility with 3 distros and microsoft for the new generation of up-badged AMD 400 chips.
