September/Batch 3 Thread

Maybe this is it! I’m kicking myself because I added that on right after I got the batch notification on 9/8.

I also have a 1TB expansion card, and haven’t gotten a shipment notice.

My config:

CPU: i7-1165G7
WiFi: No vPro®
Memory: 64GB
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro (Download)
Storage: 1TB - NVMe™

Expansion cards:
  2 USB-C
  1 HDMI
  1 Storage – 1TB

I ordered mine on the 27th of July.
DIY i5, no ram, no ssd, no os.
1 C card, 2 A cards, and a display port card.

On September 9th I had them add
1 - microSD adapter expansion card
1 -USB-c expansion card

Mine hasn’t shipped yet, but I did get a preparing to ship your order email yesterday.

I figured we are in the same boat but I didn’t have the 1tb card with mine.

@nrp In the interest of transparency, can you speak to any issues with availability/performance of the 1 TB expansion modules that are leading to delays in shipping batch 3 orders?

Those of you lucky ones… how long between ‘preparing to ship’, being charged and actual ship? Not including the FedEx time. Trying to get an idea is all… Laptop I’m typing this with is dying at what seems to be an exponential rate now that I’ve received the ‘preparing to ship’. Starting to think it read it and knows the end is near…

Time frame:

  • ordered: Aug 6
  • preparing to ship batch3: Sep 9
  • preparing to ship your order: Sep 13
  • failed to charge: Sep 14 (late at night)
  • fixed the issue: Sep 15 (morning)
  • order is shipping soon: Sep 15 (right after I fixed the charging issue)
  • order has shipped: Sep 19
  • delivery planned before 8pm today (seems like it’s gonna happen)

  • it got delivered on time :tada:

@thelumberjhack So, you got the ‘preparing to ship’, then charges the next day? hmm. I still haven’t been charged.

Yup, do not hesitate to contact support to know what’s the status of your order. I did contact them past Sunday re the fact that I’ve been charged but did not have any news about the shipping in 4 days, and @nrp kindly replied on a Sunday afternoon that my order might have missed the shipping window on Friday. A+ customer support (won’t hide that I was very surprised that Nirav answered my support ticket)

While I also got my emails one day apart, I would point out that the preparing to ship email says “within the next two business days.” I’d give it another day. It was a total of six weeks (Aug 3- Sep 19) from pre-order to receipt for me. If you ordered the 15th August you’re still in that window.

Looks like we both bought the same RAM and M.2 drive!

The drive was a pretty good deal on Amazon.ca recently, so I asked support to remove it from my order and bought it separately

If there were delays for orders with 1 TB expansion modules, maybe they have been resolved!

I got my Preparing to ship email as well! I had all the fixins so to speak aside from the windows license. i5, 500GB SSD, 2x8 GB ram, power brick, HDMI, USB A, USB C, 1TB Expansion card.

Looking forward to getting it!

I got my Preparing to ship email.

To add some context. I ordered July 28th, however yesterday I contacted support to ask them to remove the 1TB expansion module and replace it with the SD card module. So, @TheRealBGoat, there may have been something to it.

Yay - got my order shipping notice as well this afternoon. From the amount of threads here, it appears Framework is getting through the Batch 3 orders. Looking forward to putting the DIY kit together. Hopefully will get a ship notice within the next couple of days.
