[SOLVED]: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS update - end Kernel panic prevents boot

FW13 AMD version 64GB RAM Ubuntu 22.04

I just was prompted to install some Ubuntu updates from the software centre but now i have a message
End Kernel panic - not syncing - Fatal exception in interrupt

Anyone else experienced this?

EDIT: a hard reboot and ubuntu loaded normally. Will leave here in case anyone else experiences.

As an aside, in the Ubuntu software centre there says theres an AMD ryzen firmware update available to 0.0.3.5. Good idea to do?

After a reboot, are their any logs in:
/var/lib/systemd/pstore

This is what linux uses to save kernel messages from crashes, even if they cannot be written to disk at the time of the crash, linux reads the crash logs the next time it boots, and stores them there.
