Tablet mode issues on windows 11

I just got my framework 12 today, and I am really liking it. However I did run into some roadblocks when trying out the table mode. Now this is my first laptop that flips over, so I might just be unfamiliar with what is possible. However, I can’t get the screen to auto rotate to portrait orientation when flipped over. Additionally, the keyboards seems inconsistent with reactivating once I go back to using it as a laptop, the keyboard won’t unlock unless I close the lid first, and sometimes needs multiple tries at that. Note that I turned off sleep on lid closing and the likes, all closing the lid does for me is dim the screen. In regards of troubleshooting, I already installed the framework driver package, and in windows settings I made sure rotation lock is off.

Right now I don’t know what else I ought to be doing to get tablet mode working more desirably, is anyone able to help me out with this?

PS. I just found the screen doesn’t dim either every time I close it, needing a few full back and forths before it does. The occurrence of this is consistent with the keyboard not unlocking as well.

Upgraded the BIOS?

Yes, I did

Some laptops seem to suffer from a faulty acceleration sensor. The ‘hit-and-miss’ you describe points more to a hardware issue than a software issue.
Keep in mind it is still early phase so no definite conclusion here, but in your place I would watch this thread:

After using the laptop sporadically (travelling currently and only breaking it out for work “emergencies”) over a period for two weeks it seems to we working now. Did not do any extensive tests, but the few times I tried to replicate the initial behavior it seems to work consistently now. Might change with more use over time, but for now it’s all good.
