Hi guys, I was looking at system status the other day and I saw the encrypted RAM was disabled in security. A quick google told me that this should have been a bios setting. I looked in the bios and was unable to find it. More googling suggested that this should have been available on intel cpus under “Total Memory Encryption” but I dont see that setting in the bios. Has anyone been able to turn this on?
I’m running fedora 42 with the 1340p board on framework 13.
You’re using a 1340P, that’ll be why. Only some intel CPUs like the 1280P support RAM encryption
Thanks for the answer! Could you tell me where you found that? I couldnt see it on intel ARK. Never mind, just found it, apparently if its not enabled the technology is just not mentioned on the ARK sheet. My bad.
