There’s a growing trend of systems using the 13th-gen Intel platform that support in-band ECC memory, such as the LattePanda Sigma. Incidentally, the LattePanda Sigma also utilizes the Core i5-1340P, similar to the base Intel Framework 13 mainboard. While not as effective as the more traditional side-channel ECC (which doesn’t trade off performance for reliability), I would personally be very keen for this to be enabled. Particularly, I can envision this being useful when repurposing the mainboard for use as a home server in a few years. Does anyone know whether it would be feasible to enable in-band ECC memory on the Framework? Could a solution be achieved without involving the Framework team?
