Hello, would there be any performance diference between using two 32GB DDR5 RAM sticks bought separately (same kind) vs getting a set or 2x32GB for dual channel? I’ve got 32gb for fw12 and I am expecting a fw16 in december and tbh 32gb is too much for fw12 and I was thinking I would buy one more stick and downgrade the fw12 to 16gb. Is it fine?
That’s kind of what I did, bought my 16 with a single 32GB stick then my use-case changed and I put another one in.
You do want them to match though, same timings and frequency
Edit: I think the 12 used 5200Mhz? iirc the 16 only likes to run well with 5600
