I’m using the 12th Gen Intel version of the Framework 13, with Ubuntu 26.04 LTS and BIOS version 3.04, which fwupdmgr says is the latest for my hardware.
Recently my machine started crashing consistently when I tried to resume it after a suspend. That is, closing the laptop lid, waiting a few moments, and then re-opening it caused the system to freeze up. The filesystem was put into read-only mode and required a hard power off.
I eventually traced this fault back to kernel version 7.0.0-27. Reverting back to 7.0.0-22 fixed the issue for me. If you have a similar issue, you may want to try rolling back to a previous kernel version.
