Undervolting Ryzen 9 AI HX 370

Hi all,

I just got my FW13 set up running with Arch but I noticed that there’s quite a bit of heat generated and battery life tends not to be the best with the new AI chips.

What I end up doing with most of my laptops is undervolting–not so much for extra performance but just better battery life.

The Ryzen 9 chip used in our framework 13 can be undervolted with good success in other laptops so I was hoping there was a solution for us on Linux though I’m having trouble finding anything.

Anyone know of a solution that’s in the works? Correct me if I’m wrong but there wasn’t an option in BIOS to do so which would be ideal.

Maybe a bit late response, but I was able to perform undervolting in Linux of my laptop with a AMD AI HX 370, by installing ryzenadj with the smu module (from the repo). In fact, it improves a lot in battery consumption, temps and performance.

Hey, was wondering if there is good guide to this, the cli options are hard to decipher and could find any maintained gui. I could just try your configuration and modify if to try this out. Thanks
