Does anyone know if usb 3 crossover debug cables are compatible with the FW laptops.
It’s USB, their exist no reason they wouldn’t work. The only possible concern is if the USB-a expansion card show up as a USB hub.

Yes, they are. I have used a crossover xHCI cable for kernel debugging on a Framework Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen 7040).
