Using Phosh on the FW12

A quick write up on how things are going using Phosh on Fedora 43 with the FW12.

It works well but I’ve found there are a couple of things I needed to look in to. The first is the virtual keyboard. Out of the box it needs to be manually brought up (press on the bottom bar) in order for it to behave like the virtual keyboard in Gnome, you need to go to the “Mobile Setting” that gets installed with phosh, and set “Ignore Hardware Keyboard” to on. This seems to mean it works exactly how I need it to, it pops up in tablet mode, and stays away when I’m using the hardware keyboard.

The second issue at the moment is that switching from pointer to touch doesn’t hide the mouse. It can result in some odd mouseover issues especially when trying to bring up context menus. I’ve opened an issue for it here: Making sure you're not a bot!
