FW12 How is keyboard disabled on flip

I just got a framework 12 laptop and am curious how the keyboard is disabled when the device is folded into tablet mode. I’m using Fedora 42. Any direction to resources is appreciated.

I think it could be interesting to write a drawing application which makes uses a few of the keys almost like an easel. For example the function row can be accessed with the non-dominate hand holding the device and could be used as a way to switch brush type or other common actions.
