What pen technology is being used?

Same here. My pen has stopped working with my Surface altogether, but it might be a software thing. Hadn’t even considered that I might be able to use it with FW12! That would be pretty cool

(Just for context, I commented in another thread that was merged with this one, and hadn’t read this one until then.) The protocol supports it, but it’s dependent on the pen. However, that just means if the Framework pen is insufficient, another one can be substituted, which is good news! And kinda the point of Framework to begin with.

All stylus have wobble with the raw input if not compensated for, which can be handled in the drivers, and a lot of software has adjustment settings for it as well, so not too much of a concern.

Yeah, even my Huion kamvas 16 tablet has a bit of wobble. I can knock it out completely with a bit of stabilization in whatever drawing software I’m using. I’m sure it will be perfectly usable for drawing and note-taking!

Really ? It should have been stated clearly on the latest newsletter or on Framework Laptop 12’s product page. This product is not about CPU or RAM, This is a 2-in-1 and therefore specs about its capability as such should be mandatory. By the way MPP 2.0 is perfectly supported on Linux.

Patience.

Specs will be revealed in a few days. If there is still info missing at that point we can ask and will get all the answers.

A YouTube video came out about the framework laptop 12 Going deeper into some of the features and they first of all didn’t say what type of technology the stylist is gonna use, but I’m likely they’ll share that when it goes into pre-order or when people get their hands on the device. Going to the digitizer They didn’t say if it was removable and from the looks of it, it’s not.
