Whats a RETIMER? Do i click here

trying to update bios

what is this retimer thing? do i need that?

A retimer improves the signal quality of a cable. So the update will either mean more reliable connections to devices, or improvement like saving power when not needed. (No cable present)

should i run all 3 of those links there?
the bios and the 2 retimers

I know this is a very late response, but in case anyone else needs to know: almost certainly yes!

After recent graphics driver updates (not sure exactly which driver version), my Framework 13 started running extremely slowly with lots of external devices connected (Thunderbolt dock, keyboard, mouse, two monitors, bluetooth headphones, etc.) I couldn’t figure out what was going on - my RAM (64GB) was barely 25% in use, there was very little disk access, and it was acting up even on a fresh boot with no programs open yet.

The BIOS update didn’t help that issue, but after running the retimer updates it’s working like new again.
