My go to for comparing cpu’s has always been this holy bible of most known types here. PassMark - CPU Benchmarks - List of Benchmarked CPUs . Wondering when an AI Max 395 will be out and reviewed/benchmarked on there?
I’ve seen the ROG Flow Z13 for example is out that could be done, but that currently tops out at 32GB.
There were leaks from last year: wccftech.com link, where it was rumoured to get 46,471 on it - pretty impressive! be good to know for sure.
Here’s one, probably running on one of these HP laptops. Framework desktop is likely to have better thermals, though how much that affects the benchmarks I dunno. Probably only useful to get a general idea, regardless.
Frankly it is completely ridiculous Framework is refusing to give us these numbers. There are a handful of benchmarks out there, sure, but we don’t know at what TDP they are. Seemingly, all of them are below 120W TDP / 140W boost, but we don’t know, and even if we did, we wouldn’t know how they scale.
Of course we have various game framerate benchmarks, because that is important. SMH.
I just need to know how fast the CPU is (395/128GB) before ordering one, and if it can run at that performance continuously. How is that too much to ask?
Sure, everything is preproduction, so asterisk with that. Be indicative.
You will eventually get to see reviews of the Framework Desktop when Framework starts sending review units. You can then make your purchasing decision.
Without any idea of the TDP on the benchmark and which exact system it came from, it unfortunately doesn’t really tell us anything. That score is lower than other scores already posted even.
