Working dual-display dock or adapter?

Has anyone found a dual-display docker or adatper that works with the 7840HS and Linux? There hasn’t been much movement on the AMDGPU issue that most docks are having issues with right now.

(I’ve got three monitors I’d like to use with my FW16)

Which Linux distro are you using? Kubuntu

Which release version? 24.10

Which Framework Laptop 16 model are you using? (AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series) 7840

Did you check USB-C/Thunderbolt Dock Megathread already?
I’ve got the “basic” 7840 FW16 without dGPU, Linux (currently Tumbleweed) and a Dell WD 19DCS docking station, driving a total of three external monitors plus the internal one. No 160Hz or 4k, though. 1920x1200, 1600x1200 and 1027x768 at 60Hz.

I guess I didn’t scroll over far enough to see that there was Linux compatibility mentioned. Thanks!

The dell docks don’t work 100%.
Dual screen/external adapter works, but not on boot. You have to unplug and re-plug after boot for discovery to work correctly.

If I connect the dock first, then power up the monitors and the dock and finally the laptop, everything works with my Tumbleweed install using XFCE. Different distros and compositors may behave differently.
