Other than swapping components due to parts shortages (if any arise) there likely will not be any hardware changes for either the 11th or 12th gen boards. As far as we know, the BIOS and Firmware of both boards should continue to get updates.
Edit: a quick search brought up this thread of known issues, but it seems to be for both versions.
