Sleep and Touchpad Not Responding?

I have a wonky trackpad (pointer tracks way too fast, gestures are disabled) as if it is falling back to a less-featured driver. Problem goes away after a reboot.

Using Fedora 34, it’s the exact same situation for me.

re-closing and opening the lid will fix the issue most times.

Same. It seems like going back into hibernate and waking up restarts the touchpad drivers?
