12th Gen: Driver Bundle from 06/25/24 refuses to install (wrong device identified?)

Hello!

My Framework 13 12th Gen (i5-1240P, Bios 3.08, Win 11 Build 26100.4061) refuses to install the latest driver bundle Framework_Laptop_13_12th_and_13th_Gen_Intel_Core_driver_bundle_W11__2024_06_25.exe .

After starting it it quits with

Starting Driver Install
"This Framework driver bundle is designed to run on 12th&13th Gen Intel Core Mainboards only!"
Press any button...

Well, I think it is a 12th Gen, so it is misidentified by the script?
But why? And how can I solve it?

Tanks for help!

Try enabling WMIC in optional features then running the driver bundle.

Unfortunately this is not the solution.
WMIC was already installed, so I unsinstalled it, restarted, installed it again, restarted and tried to install the driver bundle, but the problem persists.
Win is now 26100.4352, Framework 13 is still a 12th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i5-1240P with Bios 3.08.
I vaguely remeber that there were some 12th Gen devices that could not be identified correctly by the Bios-Update 3.06 or 3.08 because of some wrong id-strings. Could this be the problem here, too?

I’m on BIOS 3.17 and encountered the same issue.

An intermediate solution was to use 7-zip to extract the setup files from the large .exe, then run the individual setups one by one.

Hello @TheTRUEAsian and @entrophy

I contacted support and they asked me to upgrde from Bios 3.08 to 3.17 and try again. It did not help.
Can the problem be related to 12th Gen Intel Core 2024_07_04 Drivers Release BETA - #8 by Gary_Andrew ?
@entrophy what does your decice show there?
@TheTRUEAsian do you as a mod have better contact to Framework? Why was the newer beta-driver-package mentioned above with a possible fix never promoted to final?

Unfortunately, I can’t help you any further and can’t comment on things.
