My 1T expansion - purchased in 2025 - reaches 50+ C when idle.
Has anyone had this issue (without performing reads/writes) ?
At first I thought there was no thermal pad inside but that was incorrect. There is a thermal pad installed.

I spoke too soon: there’s an entire thread about it here.
I also measured the (idle) card in situ: the bottom casing is 40 C.
