A call on 240w adapter

I am very much pleased with what they come up. but I still think it is a bit too big. and the cable is fixed as well.

I got mine as well. Running Cinebench and Furmark together in Windows 11, balanced draws 161 W from the wall. Best performance it shows 230W cars from the wall.

No battery drain!

More use needed so I can see how much more performance I can get as well as thermals (including the PSU itself).

It makes me appreciate the FW 180W’s right angle connector, for sure. That straight plug just feels like it can get in the way in some circumstances.

Does this happen to you? At least on Linux, it will drain down to 30% and then lower to the balanced performance, which will stop draining the battery.

I am tempted to buy one of these, but a non-replaceable usb cable is a major drawback.

Well never happened as i stayed in balanced most the Time, due to i knew it would drain. I Use my Setup also for VR and there you do not get a Battery Warning. So getting an extra Notch on the GPU Helps alot too. Gets Hell of a Good Feeling to be able to use the Full Performance without worriyng about Breaks to let it Charge :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Im curious - did you Cinebench R23 score increase? You would think it wouldnt. But just curious if it did.

Has anyone else run into issues with ordering through Digikey? I tried ordering it yesterday using a PayPal payment but got a note a few hours later asking me to wire them the money (at my expense) and also to send a picture of my ID card through “insecure” email. Not a great first order experience. I am just letting them cancel it.

@Arazil
The “ADP-240KB BA” is available from other suppliers, not only Digikey.
You could maybe try them?
I have not ordered it, as I don’t need it as I don’t have a dGPU.

No, I didn’t have that experience at all. Sounds shady as heck.

Then again, I used my credit card directly, not PayPal.

What did you use for GPU benchmarking?

I just let Heaven Benchmark run and Check the Graphics Power by HW Monitor

Are you Windows or Linux?

Nope. But, I used them in the past for multiple orders.

I can only say that the delivery was quite slow, as most of the time, my order was delivered to the UK in 48 hours.

Other than that, I never had any issues with them :slightly_smiling_face:

I have sent my contact the adapter. they would see if they can make it smaller and have it a detach cable. because currently the Delta one was made with fix cable and not very ideal I think.

In case anyone else (in the US?) is looking for an alternative to digikey, I have successfully received the same Delta adapter ordered from Mouser. I didn’t feel like making a new account, and was able to order as a guest. I don’t think the prices were identical, but they were close enough for me.

Both sites seem to be saying there is a 32-week backorder. I’ve placed an order for UK delivery.

How long ago did you all order? And was it stating a 32-week wait?

I got it for less than a month.

i placed an Order on digikey.de (German Digikey) and the Order arrived 4 Days later on my Doorstep. Order from US to Germany in 4 Days was so damn Fast.

I believe both Mouser and DigiKey have US, European, and Asian warehouses for delivery origin. As an American, I can’t accurately hazard a guess about delivery estimates for Europeans.

When I ordered, it was as a preorder, with a delivery estimate of mid-November (~33~ days after I ordered). About a week after I ordered, I got an emailed delivery update with the estimated delivery date ~7 days sooner than when ordered. It ended up shipping ~12 days after ordering (and ~20 days before the original estimated delivery date). I chose the cheapest shipping option (ground), and it arrived ~16 days earlier than originally estimated.

When I ordered, they had X number available to ship, and 32 week leads on any orders that contained more than the number they had ‘on-hand.’

Just received my Delta ADP-240KB BA from Mouser this morning! Had to steal an IEC 320-C5 AC power cord from another defunct power adapter. Now all I gotta do is purchase a Framework Laptop 16 and I’ll be in business
