All of a Sudden, AMD Graphics are throwing errors

Which Linux distro are you using? Arch

Which release version?
(If rolling release, last date updated?) today

Which kernel are you using? 6.17.9

Which BIOS version are you using? latest

Which Framework Laptop 13 model are you using? (AMD Ryzen™ AI 300 Series, AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series, Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 1, 13th Gen Intel® Core™ , 12th Gen Intel® Core™, 11th Gen Intel® Core™) AI 300

I tried running Darktable, and it puked. I ran it in debug mode, and the culprit seems to be the graphics card. OK. So we know the AI series cards have no real driver as the 890M chip is orphaned by AMD, so what do we do?

a simple command such as clinfo now pukes to with the dreaded: Memory Access Fault by GPU node-1 Page not present or supervisor privilege error. CORE DUMP

I was happily running things for a few months but now this is a stumper. Has anyone else updated Arch lately and checked if their video card, the amdgpu driver set is still working?

[SOLVED] turns out that since AMD does not really support the 890M graphics (yet anyway, we can keep hope alive), it turned out I had collected three distinct OpenCL vendor entries, of which the opencl-amd one was pooched. Leaving just opencl-mesa fixed the issue and the graphics intensive Apps like Darktable once again work without trouble.
