AMD Driver Timeout, Touchpad Unresponsive

  • Laptop 13, AMD AI 300 Series
  • I am having two issues with my Framework 13. I recently (last week) updated the BIOS and drivers from the Framework website. Since then I have repeatedly received an error message: “AMD Bug Report Tool: AMD software detected that a driver timeout has occurred on your system. An issue report has been created that can be sent to AMD to help is improve our software. Would you like to report this issue?”
  • Would is be OK to update the AMD drivers from the AMD Software Adrenalin Edition App? My version is 25.10.2. The new version would be 26.1.1.
  • The second issue, which also started after the BIOS and driver udpates, is that the trackpad becomes unresponsive. Sometimes the computer crashes, but sometimes it the trackpad starts working again after a period of time.

I appreciate any thoughts on what is going on, and what I should do next to troubleshoot these issues.
