Any way to fix keyboard rollover?

I’m having keyboard rollover issues. Specifically, if I use the up or down arrow, x, and z at the same time (among other key combos) z or x won’t be registered (dependent on which was pressed last). Is there any way to fix this? It’s just annoying for now - I had to change my keybinds on a game to prevent this from messing me up - but it may be a bigger issue later. Any way to fix this?

Not really, it is a function of how (thin) laptop keyboards are made. The current manufacturing processes do not have a way to add diodes without making them thicker and much more expensive so You’ll usually end up with a diodeless matrix that will have some combinations not possible. Which combinations that are depends on how the matrix is setup (the fw12 having a much worse one than the 13 for example)

But most cheap laptops and keyboards have at least 3KRO instead of Framework’s 2KRO

No they don’t they just have different flavors of 2kro, 2kro here doesn’t mean you can only have 2keys at once but that it is guaranteed you can have any 2 keys at once, depending on which keys you can have a lot more than 2.

It’s pretty much you’ll either get a matrix with diodes then you get 10kro, partial diode keyboards used to be a thing but I have not seen one in ages or completely diodeless matrix then it’s 2kro but depending on how well the matrix is layed out it is more or less problematic (fw12 << fw13 << t480s considering matrices I looked into recently).
