Seemingly randomly (while using firefox), the UI would grind to a halt, going down to 1-2 FPS. Need to reboot, which is possible but very slowly.

Nothing obvious in dmesg, cant really see a pattern (I used suspend/hibernate a lot, so might be a factor).

KDE with Wayland.

It’s probably related to Kwin(?) and adaptive sync; for some reason since 6.11, some things have been getting really weird. Turn off adaptive sync and see if that fixes anything. Also, give LTS a try to see if it’s at all related to the kernel (6.13 might come with it’s own problems).

Good, call! I’ve disabled it. If that doesn’t work I’ll try LTS.

Oh, that’s interesting! I experienced the same a while ago and just thought there was yet again some random failure condition as I didn’t see it again, yet. I am on the regular kernel (6.12).
