Audio delay on the monitor via USB-C

I have already asked in the Fedora forum, I have a problem with the sound that takes longer to output and has dropouts from time to time.

I use fedora #Silverblue 40

My suspicion is that it’s an audio driver issue on the Linux side and has nothing to do with FW. But I’ve followed the Fedora Discussion link and then I thought I’ll post it.

Similar happens to me from a FW16 over Linux Mint 22.1 towards a Lenovo Legion Y34wz-30, but only if there are multiple software audio sources (e.g., Spotify + Game) then the audio randomly cuts off for 0.5-1 seconds.

Additional fact is that if using audio-processing like Easy Effects, the audio distortion is noticable and it’s not just random cut-offs for 0.5-1 seconds anymore. Singular software audio source (e.g., Spotify standalone) does not exhibit any audio issues.

I can’t speak to your issue, but I’ll add that lately I’ve been having issues with my audio output occasionally going robo on me. Likely unrelated, but thought I’d chime in. I also run easy effects (for Brian’s profile).

I’m on Fedora 42 and use an Audeeze Maxwell wireless headset.

Since I got a new monitor, the problem has disappeared.
