Audio jack doesnt work at all in laptop, other devices see it fine

  • Which OS (Operating System)?
    both windows and arch linux fully updated have this issue
  • Which Framework product (Laptop 13, Laptop 16, Laptop 12 or Desktop) and which
    fw16 with ai 9 hx370, no gpu.

suddenly (within the past few days) my headphone jack expansion card just stopped working. it doesnt show up in lsusb, plugging it into a usb-c port or another slot doesnt change the results. weird part is, plugging the card into my phone works fine, phone sees the headphones and plays audio into them fine, just the laptop for the life of it cant even see that its there. linux and windows both have this issue, and i havent changed a single about this laptop since it last worked. how the fuck does this even happen?

also unrelated but why am i required to put a device in the community support area when my device isnt even listed, only the 7040 laptop 16’s are shown?

never mind it (and my power button not lighting up) magically fixed themself by taking the plate the keyboard/trackpad attatch to off. this doesnt mke any sense to me but i dont care anymore it works now whatever
