I don’t think there would be a mess up at Bahrein (think it doesn’t get unloaded as the plane only touches down there for 2.5 hours), mainly at Singapore, maybe the flight was already full. It should probably become clear tonight (the plane will arrive in Leipzig around 18h00 CET) so will probably get scanned then.

I did not mentioned this before but I also got a double notification on both of my statuses today in Singapore. 2x On forwarded… and 2x Processed. Yeah but maybe you are right and some packages made it on the plane and some not due to filled up cargo already. I got no other status til now, DHL and Linex.

Yeah I agree that it should become clear by the plain arriving Leipzig and the parcels getting sorted and scanned.

I also noticed that the previous shipment updates from DHL in Bahrein were actually sent while the plane was already in the air to Leipzig, seems there is quite a delay. It also seems like the earliest scan in Leipzig was around 21h while the plane lands around 19h, seems reasonable to have some time between landing unloading and processing.

Guys you have to chill a bit.
Since it won’t arrive at your door today anyways, just wait and check tomorrow morning again.
I’m also excited as hell. But from an actual informational standpoint there is no need to check before tomorrow morning and see what DHL did (or didn’t do) with the parcels.

@Daniel_Patterson Any update?

DHL tracking has two Bahrain updates for me: last one from 15 min ago: “Shipment has departed from a DHL facility BAHRAIN - BAHRAIN”, estimated delivery date March 04, pretty sure it is on Flight BOX543/3S543

Yes, but…plane trackers?

Indeed, I have been tracking this plane and my package is also on BOX543. Seems like the updates take some time (as the plane already left before the Bahrein update was put into the system). It is pretty interesting to see how all these logistics work, seems like most of it is just paperwork.

I actually started looking at the DHL website to see if they have any interesting position for me to apply to when I finish my studies (CSE).

bahrain is likely a refuel and/or crew swap.

I think mine is also on this flight. Currently flying over Baghdad at 874 km/h!

You are the lucky ones. No update for me, so mine did not went off to Bahrain today, so it will not arrive tomorrow :frowning: . So most likely it goes with the next possible one. And yeah we are excited but at the same time totally chill as we waited quiet a time till now and can wait some days more if necessary, but i find myself also interested in the whole world package logistics. Its really interesting.

As I looked through FlightRadar I cant find the next possible plane for my package to leave Singapore heading to Leipzig via Bahrain. At least not with AeroLogic (3S/BOX) because there is no planned flight for the next 7 days.

I couldn’t find planned flights either, but you can browse flight histories of the different planes - one flew the route at least 3x/week and I am quite sure there was another one flying the route. So there should a flight almost daily.

According to a DHL blogpost AeroLogic does the Leipzig → HongKong → Singapore → Bahrein → Leipzig round 4x a week, but I can only find 3 for the past week on FlightRadar for example. Indeed it looks like no flight is scheduled for tomorrow Freighter Departures | Singapore Changi Airport which explains the 7th as a delivery date cause it would only get to Leipzig on Friday/Saturday and then be processed in the weekend.

Looked again, I was wrong, only twice, but…

BOX539 was the other one I found - both planes go twice/week - so it seems there are indeed 4/week on Tue-Fri

I looked also again and it seems tomorrow is no flight. For interest of the rest of us (except UK): As I found out there are 3 possible flights AeroLogic can take from singapore to Leipzig: D0303/3S543/3S539
D0303 6 times in last 7 days
3S543 3 times in last 7 days
3S539 2 times in last 7 days

I think i got also the flight tracking illness

Germany here, mine has arrived in Leipzig. I got a call from customs. Apparently the paperwork is not sufficient to just get them processed in German customs. I have been asked to supply an invoice and payment proof. They submitted a scan of the label and the declared value on the parcel is almost €200 more than I paid - which I can not explain.
This is also the reason I found out that the frame.work website does not offer an invoice download at all, and nowhere to find the VAT sums explicitly stated.

Apparently, to get it through customs, I will have to aggree that DHL will pay whatever Customs payments are deemed due, along with a hefty extra processing fee for themselves.
Since I ordered “including VAT” this smells a lot like I am going to have the choice between unpleasant discussions about extra money with frame.work support or remittance and refund hassles.

I think you need to contact Framework Support and give them as much information as you can about this. The VAT and import charges should be their responsibility on this, and they will have contracted the logistics company so it’s them that’ll have to talk to DHL to get it sorted.

Difficult to know why the invoice would be wrong - does it itemise things? Some of it will be the cost of shipping, but again as far as you’re concerned you’ve already paid all relevant taxes and charges so it’s for Framework and their shipping agents to sort out.

Sounds a bit like you’ve been unlucky in getting a particularly picky customs agent or one having a bad day…this is the first report of there being any issues in Germany!

Hi @F_Behrens. We’re very sorry about this. It is true that the Commercial Invoice that Customs uses has some incorrect pricing which shows a higher price than what was paid. We’re addressing that with our fulfillment partner with urgency. That said, it shouldn’t have caused a delay in delivery an we’d like to learn more. Please submit a support ticket and we’ll investigate with our logistics team right away.
