Look what I received this morning!! I love it My first laptop in 15 years.
Like I’ve seen in some reviews, the screen feels a bit fragile because of it’s flexibility, I’ll be very careful with it!
Ordered on january 22th, only 5 days to be delivered to France.
Hello from Austria!
I placed my order on the 22nd of February, right after receiving the E-Mail.
My config is as follows:
Expansion cards:
I received my stage 3 E-Mail today.
ok now i am beginning to be a bit worried. I ordered the i5 DIY with 7 expansion cards, no RAM, no SSD and no powerbrick on 18. January and am still in stage 2. Maybe my assumption that minimum orders get shipped earlier was wrong then
@Rebekka_Riedlinger I am in the same boat. Ordered January 15, i7-1165 with 5 expansion cards and no ram, no ssd, no brick. Still only got the “batch shipment” email.
@Rebekka_Riedlinger @Tobias_Manske keep hope! I’m in the same boat and I suspect it’s going to be fine. We might only get the payment email at the end of the month but people are still getting through and posting. It’s going to be fine.
@Tobias_Manske This is interesting. My assumption was that all i7-1165 orders placed in February were batched together, given that most orders that made it past stage 2 were either i5 or i7-1185 and the one i7-1165 that’s being past stage 3 that we know of was ordered in January. Probably the i7-1165 is harder to come by?
I’m not really in a hurry, it’s the excitement of getting a new laptop
I think there have been lots of theories about the order allocation i personally just think its the order date that defined it so February orders will be towards the end of the batch.
i am on the same boat with you too but just Order Status Pre-Order Confirmed here
After I ordered a DIY with i5-1135G7 on 2022-03-08T23:00:00Z (to Germany), the follow up mails came rather quick (judging by other posts here):
The laptop is currently in Singapore.
Full specs:
When did you get the stage 2 (batch preparation) email?
Hi all,
only four days after the “shipped” mail I got my package today. Had no time to unpack yet, but it finally arrived.
Regards,
Sebastian
Hm, all this talk about stages, and I haven’t seen any followup mails at all (ordered Feb 23), so I guess that means I’m in stage 1? Or 0? But it seems no orders to the Netherlands have been followed up yet, so I guess they’re either ordering by country, or not 100% ready for .nl yet. We’ll see.
Would have been nice to have the laptop already, since my previous thinkpad X201 stopped working last friday, just powered off while working and never came on again (tried some CPR, but no luck, seems it finally succumbed to 12 years of day-in-day-out use - some parts had already fallen off). Fortunately I could borrow a thinkpad E351 from a friend. With my own SATA disk inserted I can at least just use my own installation, but I’m eager to get the framework, since this thinkpad is bulky (15", pff, why would you want that? :-P).
Interestingly, I don’t seem to have gotten that email at all, not even in my spam folder. Maybe I deleted it, but I doubt that.
Oddly, I ordered my i5 on March 12 and was allocated Batch 10 April shipping, but just received an email stage 2. UK. i5 was supposedly sold out when I ordered.
Uk here, ordered the i5 version on feb 1, still no update beyond the stage two notification :/. I’ve been reading that people who ordered much later are getting theirs shipped already, so I am getting lowkey worried.
@Moe_Wigs just out of curiosity what did the rest of your order look like
I ordered a DIY i5 March 11th (but late at night so the pretty much the same date) with 6 cards, power adapter, no ssd/ram/OS
Ordered 5th February, dispatched from Taiwan to the UK on 15 March, no tracking updates since the 16th though
Same here:
Batch 9,
Ordered on 22-Feb,
Expecting it will already delay to half or 2nd half of April (I’m a realist, not a pessimist… ),
ordered the i7-1185G7,
3 DP,
2 USB-A,
1 MicroSD,
2 HDMI,
4 USB-C.
It’s going to be my daily driver at work (can choose my own for now),
Want to se if Fedora with a Gnome Desktop will work for me with Libre-Office, nothing worse.
I’m worried about making the connections with the cloudservices thy want me to use at the office (Onedrive, Sharepoint etc.)
Not worried about browser-based applications like PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerBI etc. (If anyone knows how to solve this, I’d lóve to have a (virtual) drink with them… )
Want to do some serious promotion at work for them to use Framework-laptops over preliminary-landfill like Lenovo etc.
