Best cooling pad for Framework 16 with dGPU, feedback for llano 12

Hello everyone,

My wife recently got me this:
llano cooling pad

In the past, I’ve always been extremely disappointed with laptop cooling pads, as I find they usually make too much noise for very little effectiveness. Plus, since the Laptop 16 also has an intake for its fans on the top, I didn’t see much point in using one.

However, unlike my previous experiences, this one really impressed me! The memory foam ensures good contact, allowing air to flow properly into the laptop, and the fan speed is adjustable from 300 RPM up to 2800 RPM! (Which is completely overkill and turns your laptop into a jet engine, but it works!)

I usually keep it at 1300 RPM (good noise/ efficiency) when running demanding applications, and my CPU and dGPU rarely exceed 60°C! On a regular inclined stand, I would easily reach 80-90°C.

And when I’m just coding or browsing the web, the temperature rarely exceeds 30°C!

In conclusion, I’m really impressed by this cooling pad for my Framework Laptop 16, and I highly recommend it.

This is the one I am using. I can’t tell even it is on at 75% speed! It’s a little larger than the footprint of the Framework 16 but I have zero regrets. Best cooler I have ever had and I have tried many over the years. Again this is my personal opinion and experience only.
