In sometime in the future, can we please get a way to disable the WiFi card.
I have noticed is some Linux releases, the system freezes during network detection and it would be nice to be able to disable wifi until we want it back on again.

Is it not possible to disable the WiFi card in BIOS and have Linux still work correctly? Also, is it possible to disable or enable WiFi independently from Bluetooth in the BIOS on the Framework 16?

You can just use modprobe.blacklist with the name of the kernel module associated with your wifi card on kernel command line if there is a regression in wifi to deal with.
You could but if the kernel freezes during an install boot, that makes it kind of hard.
I’ve never experienced this with any of the mediatek cards. Are you using a pretty old kernel or something?
