Blank screen and bootloop after LVFS BIOS upgrade to 3.06

Hi there,

I just tried to update the firmware to 3.06 using the LVFS method (on Ubuntu 25.04 Plucky Puffin), although I do not think that at this point the OS matters since I am even unable to get into the BIOS.

So, after the update was applied successfully (at least that was the output) I rebooted as asked and now, upon boot the screen stays completely off/blank (power indicator LED on the button is on as normal) and pressing F2 (or F12, or any F-key) does not work although the keyboard should be alright since the caps lock LED is on for some time.

When I listen to the fan and look at the caps lock LED I get the impression that I am stuck in a boot loop.

Has anyone encountered this behavior on the Framework Laptop 12? What could I do to resolve this?

Thanks in advance for any help!

You seem to be using a supported Linux and your FW12 should still be under warranty. The forum you’ve posted to is for community members to help each other. You should contact the Framework support team (you’ll need to scroll down; the contact link is near the bottom of the page).
