I’ve been having none stop new problems ever since I bought myself the framework laptop 16 so hopefully you guys can help because support tried for months and months and never solved anything
One of my consistent on and off issues is with my bluetooth adaptor. there is a high chance that when I pair my device the laptop will shortly freeze and then restart. I usually solve this by uninstalling the driver for it and reinstalling it with snappy driver installer but the latest issue is that now that refuses to work for no reason.
ok so I went back to basics and use the driver bundle. except you can’t because as soon as it tries to install the amd graphics it instantly bluescreens. I’ve tried to search for it manually but only getting guides that miss loads of details and steps to actually solve it
One day this laptop will be stable enough and not invent new ways to make me want to drill holes in it from stress of a new completely different issue.
My Framework 13 AMD 7040 also bluescreened at the bluetooth driver when I tried to install the latest driver bundle ((v2.08) 2026-06-01 ). The bluetooth driver isn’t new in that bundle. It also often bluescreens when I turn the bluetooth on or off, so I usually just don’t both to try to use bluetooth. My laptop has also been buggy ever since I bought it, and I am surprised when I meet friends who have Frameworks, even sometimes the same model, and report that they don’t have any issues. I am running Windows 11 version 23H2 (not the 24H2 that has been causing problems with driver installation). I figured Framework must be optimized for Linux and I am considering just getting a different laptop for Windows and switching this one to Linux.
I should note that after a couple of failed attempts, I was able to get to 12 out of 14 drivers installed, including the bluetooth. I wish there was a way to opt out of reinstalling the ones that have not changed. I left my laptop on overnight and it still hasn’t finished the last two.
This could be a defective WIFi card. A safer and probably more reliable alternative is to buy an Intel AX210 card and pull the original WIFi card out. All my Bluetooth and strange wifi issues went away when I pulled the RZ616 from the Framework Laptop 16.
Note, only the Intel AX210 card works with AMD boards. Not the AX211.
