Built-in microphone quality issues

Hello,

I noticed that the built-in microphone with my Framework 16 had some really serious audio quality issues. I think the audio I’m hearing in recordings that I playback isn’t quite right. I’ve plugged in my sennheiser microphone and am able to record audio with that and it sounds fine.

Is there something wrong with my microphone? I can’t imagine this is something I have configured wrong with my laptop or microphone.

Is this something I should send an email to support about and maybe they can help me?

I couldn’t tell from watching the video on a phone, but have you tried reducing the gain on the mic?

I’ll try and find that through OBS or something.

Ok I was able to use pwvucontrol and I think the problem was in fact that my gain was set way to high. I’m still getting used to Arch and finding the right knobs and buttons to fiddle with. Thank you!
