I just discovered there is a common problem with some laptops’ built-in microphone sound fidelity on Linux. It seems to be the issue related to drivers and filters profile, so does the microphone works correctly on Framework laptop with Linux?

@RandomUser Usually, when there is a problem in Linux with a built-in microphone, then audio is inaudible or close to inaudible. Lots of crackling and noise. I had that on the machine I am typing that on. I fixed that with echo/noise filter in PulseAudio it’s audible now but still sounds like talking through the wall because there is no decent filtering profile.
Just type “linux microphone crackling” in Google to know what I am talking about.
Yes. Never had any issues with microphones on Linux though.
