Community Market category

Hey @Omega21 You can see your level if you go into your profile, click ‘Expand’ on the right. Your level will be listed under your picture. TL0 > TL4 (TL stands for ‘Trust Level’)

You have to be at least a TL2 to participate in the Market. Update on Community Market Access

Hi, is there a recommended payment platform and delivery provider for the Framework Marketplace community in the UK? I’ll be placing my Framework 13 on the marketplace and am just preparing everything. Thanks!

We recommend using a platform that offers buyer protection such as Paypal. If you decide to use Paypal, ensure that you are using “Goods and Services” and not “Friends and Family”. As for delivery provider, this is something you’ll need to coordinate with the seller but look into things like insurance and collect on delivery.

I am trying to list something for sale but it seems the restrictions make this near impossible. I can’t create any posts in the community market but am required to be Level 1? How do I go about this? Thanks for any help here…

Follow the link but having said that…

Is there a better way to do this being worked on that isn’t through janky forum posts and templates and whatnot? I could have sworn that there was wording printed on my mainboard itself that said I could visit frame.work to “create Marketplace listings”. Is this community market forum category just temporary while a proper open community “marketplace” is being developed?

Trying to create a thread here but I couldn’t select the “Community Market” category? I think it ended up in the wrong forum. I feel like I’ve met all the criteria in the first post here…am I missing something? My stats according to the forum:

Ugh, I get why these rules exist. But it feels more like I am grinding for stats than organically using the forum

Hey @BTek You’re at a higher trust level. You shouldn’t be having any issues in the Market, that I know of. Are you getting any kind of error or just not able to click?

You’re in the Community Market category right now. If you click here, do you see the Community Market threads? Can you click on the ‘New Topic’?

I didn’t get a screenshot but it was something along the lines of “read-only” I think is what I was seeing when originally trying to select the community market tag.

I was able to move my thread to the market section after creating it initially, maybe there was just some issue with how I made it originally. I believe I am good for the time being.

Cool. If you run into trouble with it again, feel free to shoot me or one of the mods a DM and we’ll check it out. Everything on your profile / account looks fine.

Same, I get the reason why they are there, but I’ve been on this forum for years and still don’t fit the criteria

How come bidding is banned? I’m planning on doing a pretty advanced thermal mod to my 7940HS before selling it and I don’t know how that would elevate the price, I don’t want to set it unusually high and get no takers, but I also don’t know about how negotiation would be handled in this context.

Because this isn’t an auction site. Sell what you are willing to sell it for. You want the “market” price? Sell on eBay.

Price it how you want and just mention in the post you are willing to accept offers in DMs. Easy.

Or price high and revise down every week or two until it sell. There is no need for bidding nor a good way of tracking who bid first kinda thing. This site isn’t set up for that.

Hi all, I’m new, nice to meet you! I got my Framework 13 with the AI 9 370 end of Dec 2025. It’s a great laptop and really powerful but I’m not using it as much as I thought I would, I’m using my desktop 90% of the time.

I would like to sell it and I’d prefer to use the official Community Market but I’m not yet at Trust level 2, trying to get there, unless anyone has suggestions for an alternative in the UK? I would appreciate a like to my message nevertheless! Thanks all!

Are you also allowed to make want to buy posts? All I see is want to sell posts, but I’d be looking for something very specific. Due to the wide variety of things you can do with a framework and the open source schematics etc., I’d like to improve my board repair stills with buying dead (and optionally old) framework boards and give em a new life.

I doubt I will find many sellers, but a “want to buy” post would be a good idea I think

I wish you guy’s would make this marketplace visible or reachable at least on your main site

HI! From our main site, if you click on Support > Community Forum, you can find the Community Marketplace, or you can scroll down to the footer of our main site and go directly to the Community Forum.

New to framework! I was looking to upgrade from the 60hz to 120hz display now that the touch screen is out I was thinking i could save on that

Replying, partially to grind for Level 2 trust, but also just wondering: are there any other places besides r/hardwareswap and EBay where people have found success buying/selling Framework things? Has anyone sold on Swappa?
