Maybe this connector on the FW16 mainboard would help.
We don’t know the pin-out, but if those can be used to unbrick a FW16 mainboard, and re-write the BIOS/EC firmware. Users could then experiment much more freely with custom BIOS.
All they would need to do would be to add a connector to the mainboard 30 pads.
