I run Linux, Debian/Testing to be exact, and recently installed DDCCI DKMS supprt, and ddcutil. I’m using a KDE Plasma (v5 for now is what’s in the Debian/Testing repos) and using a DDC/CI widget, I can detect the external monitor, but it doesn’t see the internal display.
Using ddcutil detect
, it seems the internal display, but says it can’t do anything with it. Why is this? Can there be a firmware change to support standard DDC/CI functionality?
$ ddcutil detect
Invalid display
